On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer… on ENDEAVOUR!

Even though it snowed last night, Santa hasn’t changed his schedule….but the space shuttle Endeavour flew by NASA JSC today between 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. while mounted on a modified Boeing 747 shuttle carrier aircraft. We all were in the parking lot cheering it on! Go Endeavour!!!

I am such a cry baby. I was listening to the NPR local news last night and they said that the shuttle flew so low that people who saw it thought it was landing at Ellington Field. They rushed over to wait to greet the crew but they never showed up. The newscaster said the shuttle flew low intentionally so the staff at the Johnson Space Center could see it. OMG! A deliberate fly by shoutout. How awesome!

Besides Pam, I have so many other friends who work at NASA that it just seemed real personal to me. Ever since the election, my happy tears have been perched and ready to pour at the slightest thing. Big cry baby!!!!
